The Tempo is a contender for most serious POS automobile ever produced, IMO.

No idea, but growing up I remember my parents had a hand me down 1992 tempo briefly. It eventually ate its head gasket and was traded in on something, and shortly thereafter popped up as a taxi in town. We saw it in use for maybe another 4 years after that

Eh, I’d say it was the most meh car ever, but not the worst.
Source: I owned an 84 Topaz. Boring as hell but got me where I wanted to go other than the one time it spit out a driveshaft while I tried to merge into an interstate.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

My neighbor had a Tempo and that damnable car was in the shop every other week. Thick Film Ignition...

My family has always bought Japanese or up per tier GM cars, the fist time I rode in a Tempo it was 3 years old, had 36,000 miles and was already a piece of shit.

I think you are right. 92 looks a little different when I google it.
